PORK KATSU RAMEN
This Japanese comfort dish is flavourful and satisfying, combining crispy breaded pork cutlets and springy noodles in a tasty broth, made with our instant noodle sauce. Topped with corn, spinach, a soft-boiled egg, and nori, this ramen is a true feast for the senses.
Ingredients:
150g pork schnitzel, crumbed
2 tbsp rice bran oil
2 tbsp AFR instant noodle sauce
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup frozen corn kernels
1 tsp butter
1 tsp white miso paste
1 portion of hot, cooked ramen noodles
TOPPINGS
1 soft-boiled egg, cut in half
Handful of baby spinach leaves
2 long strips of nori
Method:
Add the oil to a large pan and fry the crumbed pork schnitzel until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.
Boil the corn in some hot water until cooked, then strain into a bowl and add the butter and miso paste, tossing until well coated.
Into a ramen bowl, add the spinach, then pour over the boiling water and instant noodle sauce. Combine well, then add the cooked noodles.
Slice the cooked pork into 2cm strips and place on top of the noodles, then add the egg, corn, and nori strips to finish. Enjoy!
